Aviation ProductsFrom 1967 to 1982, a different company named Genave, Inc. (not Genave/NRC, Inc., which is us) who were located in Indianapolis, IN designed and manufactured several hundred thousand aircraft navigation and communications radios. Even though production of this equipment ceased over thirty years ago, there are still some units in active service. Due to changes in FAA and FCC regulations in the 1990's, all communications transmitters in aircraft must meet a tighter frequency specification. Unfortunately many radios designed and manufactured prior to 1990 do not meet these specifications, and can not be used to transmit voice. They can still be used to receive... just not transmit. For service and support of airport approach and airway navigational equipment such as VOR's, Instrument Landing Systems (ILS), DME's, AWOS and other land based equipment, please contact Benson Technical Works.
